Retreat rhythm
Making lasting shifts in our lives and becoming agents for change
Research shows that self-compassion is associated with emotional well-being, coping with life challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, healthier choices, and more satisfying, compassionate relationships - leaving aside any habitual striving ways in the practices. This workshop is a 4-session online foundation Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) course. MSC is an empirically-supported training based on the pioneering research of Kristin Neff, Ph.D., and the clinical perspective of Chris Germer, Ph.D. The curriculum has been steadily refined since 2010 and taught to over 100.000 people worldwide.

As Inner Development Goals global practitioners, we feel inspired by deepening inner transformational skills to accelerate our joint path towards more sustainable development at this particular moment in time on planet Earth. We will relate to the IDG domains “Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating, and Acting” with a self-compassionate lens, as we experience the full MSC Core Skills Program.
Going beyond MSC
Deepening our connection to Mother Earth and becoming participatory agents of change
Self-compassion
We will learn the science and practices to become our best friend, when things get tough. From a safe space of both gentle and fierce self-compassion, befriending ourselves and our experiences with awareness of our common humanity.
Meditation
We will enjoy silence and practice awareness in nature and in our self-compassion course. Our group will offer one hour of daily working meditation on Monviso campus as informal practice.
Inspiration
We will explore our longing and practices for inner growth, inspired and supported by the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) framework. We will experience a real world laboratory for regenerative design, learn with the local team of Monviso Institute and the local projects and communities.
