Costs & Practicalities

Retreat fee 2025: 


1.400 EUR (1,580 USD)

Includes:

Course fee including the teachings and material of the MSC Core Skills course with two certified teachers. 

Monviso Institute guided tour by the Institute's team on Monday evening. MVI staff support for logistics and guidance during the retreat.

MVI Campus rent with big tent and amphitheatre for the mornings, Centro Culturale Lou Portoun rent for the afternoons.

All breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners in different family--owned local restaurants; welcome self-made pizza oven dinner on Monday and celebration around the fire place on Friday evening
on MVI campus.

Accommodation in a range of camping, glamping or shared apartments with bathroom and kitchen in walking distance.

Additional costs occur for:  ​

  • more expensive accommodation, if you choose AirBnb or Agriturismo, booked by yourself; 

  • local transport from nearest train station to Ostana (shared taxi) and back.

  • E-bike or bikes can be rented.

Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. You can pay in instalments.

We will have a conversation with each of you individually before payment.
You will be invited to an informative Q&A session after registration (probably end of July (on Zoom) - date tbc.

Retreat period

Start - Open air dinner at MVI Campus: 1st evening

​

End - Silent half-day retreat on our last full day or mindful hike and fare-well at the fire place.

​

Before and after the retreat, you can enjoy hiking or other visits. Detailed information and guidance can be provided.

Good to bring

Basic fitness to be at ease at an altitude of 1,500 meters and to manage medium-seized walking distances. Any gear you may need in the mountains and outdoors to protect you from sun, rain, cold, and bathing cloths for the natural water pools and creeks and hiking gear. A detailed list will be provided upon reservation.

Getting here

You will get to MVI Campus from Torino or Milano with train to either Savigliano (preferred) or Pinerolo, followed by a shared taxi ride. We will help organize car sharing. If you come by car, there is parking space in the village.

Language

Retreat is in English, but German, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Hebrew are spoken.
